Compared to the steampunk, the term clockpunk is practically unknown to the general public! However, the latter is much inspired by the Steampunk universe. Indeed, the retro-futurism is the very interest of the steampunk ! Retro-futorialism found in Dieselpunk, Atompunk or, in this case, Clockpunk . Unlike cyberpunk or biopunk, genres that we will see in other articles, which offers a universe taking place only in the future. Clearly, we classify a current as "sub-genre of steampunk" if it offers a retro-futuristic universe of which it is easy to guess the central technological element. While the steampunk takes place during the Victorian era, Clockpunk is receding a few centuries in the past to arrive at renaissance era ! When we think of the Renaissance, it is not uncommon to think of the Italian architecture , the aesthetic precision or even Puzzles . And it is on these points that the universe clockpunk rests!
