Daniel Vaucher (Vauchez), a Parisian watchmaker, installed on rue du Preaux-Boeufs, was one of the favorite clocks of the aristocracy and the Queen of France, also involved in the case of the famous collar of the Queen . His pocket watches are kept in the Louvre and in the main museums around the world.
His work is continued by his sons Joan, Jean-Henri, François and Samuel, authors of magnificent gusset watches signed "Vauchez en la Cité" which settle in Fleurier, Geneva, London and Paris.
The illustrations show two watches vauchez from the Lido collection, an automaton watch with three movements, a couple of characters playing the hours and a little love down that makes the quarters ring.
The case is magnificent, with a large star on the back.
Another smaller size with a translucent red enamel on the guillochis, bordered by floral patterns and of a false glasses.
